Region Halland is looking for you who currently work as a nurse and want to develop by furthering your education to become a pediatric nurse.

The vision of the Children's and Youth Clinic is to provide the best possible healthcare for children, adolescents, and their families in an environment characterized by play, joy, participation, and safety. The Children's and Youth Clinic in Halland is a regional clinic that offers inpatient and outpatient care at the hospital in Halmstad and outpatient care at the clinics in Kungsbacka, Varberg, and Falkenberg. Halland's maternity units are located in Varberg and Halmstad. We are a research-active children's clinic in a small personal format, with short distances to colleagues who together cover all subspecialties.

Training Employment

We offer you a training employment which means that you study to become a pediatric nurse with a salary and receive a position at a designated workplace at Halland's hospital in Halmstad where you will then work as a qualified pediatric nurse after completing your education.

A training employment can be granted for full-time or part-time study. Distance education is also included as a study form.

Qualifications

To apply for training employment, you must be a licensed nurse with at least two years of work experience as a nurse. Additionally, you must be accepted into the education at a university.

You should be able to work independently and take your own initiatives, have an easy time collaborating, and possess a good ability to work in a team. Furthermore, your interaction with patients and colleagues should be professional.

PLEASE NOTE that most universities have an application period from February 17 to March 17 for the specialist nursing programs.
