The Culture, Parks, and Recreation Administration consists of three departments. The Recreation Department, where this position is located, encompasses activities such as sports and leisure facilities, outdoor life, archipelago, sports, and community life. As a sports facility worker, you will be part of a small friendly team whose main task is the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of LF Arena's ice rink, athletics facilities, artificial turf fields, grass fields, football halls, sports halls, archipelago, and ski and exercise trails. Job Responsibilities

The tasks vary depending on the season and include practical work with the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of premises, sports facilities, machines, and equipment. Daily cleaning of some form is required. Maintenance of artificial turf and football fields, ice maintenance, lawn mowing, snow removal, grandstand cleaning, and upkeep of outdoor environments. Supervision, opening, and closing of our facilities. The work is varied and can be physically challenging at times. Other tasks related to the operational area may also occur.

Qualifications

You have an education at least at the high school level, with a focus on facilities or service/maintenance, or other education deemed equivalent.

You have practical experience and good knowledge of operation, maintenance, and upkeep. Good computer skills are important as reporting issues and placing orders are done via computer. It is an advantage if you have experience with various types of machines, wheel loaders, ice machines, grooming machines, etc. It is also beneficial if you have electrical certification and/or have worked with ice making, trail grooming, etc.

As a person, you are proactive and enjoy problem-solving. You are used to working both independently and in a team, always keeping the best interests of the facility and its users in mind. Good collaboration with others is a prerequisite for the role. You enjoy providing service, have a good demeanor, and a professional attitude. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability, such as teamwork ability, flexibility, and responsiveness, as the role requires a good ability to meet different people. More about the position

Start date according to agreement, full-time. Permanent employment and work according to a rolling schedule, day, evening, and weekend. For employment, a criminal record extract is required.

Requirement for a B driver's license.
