Are you ready to join us on our exciting journey?
Ellevio is one of Sweden's largest energy companies, and together we continue to electrify Sweden. With us, you are part of a secure and important future industry while having the opportunity to make a difference, grow as an individual, and have a great time along the way! We believe in a bright and sustainable future, do you?
About the role of NIS Engineer Network Operations
As an NIS Engineer, you will work within the OT (Operational Technology) department and be part of a team of NIS engineers responsible for ensuring quality and updating the real-time network model, i.e., the digital representation of Ellevio's electricity network and its components, which must always be current and accurate. You will work within both local and regional networks, and in cases where stations are remotely connected, you will also work with these parts, compiling information in a database and testing communication.
Your main tasks will involve documenting and controlling new changes in the electricity network and ensuring that the documentation meets established quality and safety requirements. Changes in the network occur continuously due to fault rectifications, investment projects, and maintenance work. Therefore, the systems need to be updated across stations and substations. This is because the network model is the foundation for monitoring and controlling Ellevio's electricity network from the operations center. Some troubleshooting also occurs when we receive deviations that may need to be investigated and addressed.
In your role, you will collaborate with other departments within Ellevio and with our contractors who work in the field with fault rectifications, investment, and maintenance projects. This position allows you to combine your analytical skills, attention to detail, and system knowledge with your communication and social skills.
Who are you?
To thrive with us, you are an outgoing person who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment where you work partially independently but also in a team. You have an analytical mindset, and for you, accuracy and attention to detail, as well as organization, are prerequisites and a given. Great importance is placed on your personality and how well you fit into the group.
You have a post-secondary education with a technical focus on NIS/GIS, electrical power technology, or IT, or equivalent knowledge. You have knowledge of electrical power systems regarding production, transmission, and distribution, and/or have worked with systems for monitoring and controlling processes. Experience with SCADA systems is an advantage. You speak and write Swedish fluently and have a good command of English.
Ellevio as an employer
It is important for us that employees feel comfortable, engaged, and driven by the desire to continuously learn and develop. Only then can we together achieve our vision of a bright and sustainable future. With us, you have great opportunities to influence the company as a whole and your own career. A great testament to this is that we have received the award for Sweden's most attractive employer and have also been named a Career Company for the fifth consecutive year!
