Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 600 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains staff in Swedish nuclear power, delivers nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staff, and stakeholders. This includes activities such as developing and providing training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development, nuclear safety, and dust safety assignments. The focus within the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected technical key disciplines. We actively work with continuous improvement initiatives and the development of our models, where our work and expertise create significant value for Vattenfall and its investments.
About the Role
Do you want to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?
The Technology Department at Business Unit Vattenfall Power Solutions develops and implements projects and assignments and provides internal technical specialist services in a consolidated competence center for all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staff, and stakeholders. This involves activities such as feasibility studies, analyses, investigations, and design primarily within nuclear power, nuclear fuel management, and hydropower, but also within thermal power and wind power. The focus within the business unit is to develop our expertise in strategic areas to support Vattenfall's transition to a fossil-free future.
Within the competence area of Electrical Power and Automation, we currently have about 20 employees, and with us, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging assignments within the Vattenfall Group. Your Responsibilities
As an electrical designer with us, you will primarily work on assignments for our clients, but assignments in our own management may also be relevant.
You will participate in new, renovation, and extension projects with tasks in electrical design at a detailed level, which includes everything from large electrical power components to digital systems. Furthermore, you may assist in the preparation of decision-making and procurement materials and provide your expertise in dialogues with both internal and external parties.

Requirements
We are looking for someone who has
- a degree as a bachelor of engineering, vocational engineer, or similar in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
- at least 5 years of experience in the process or power industry
- good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English
- driver's license B
It is an advantage if you have experience with
- electrical design tools

Location: Solna, Gothenburg, Uppsala, Västerås, Gävle, Nyköping, or Oskarshamn. Travel is a natural part of the job, but we actively work with technical solutions to reduce the amount of travel.
