ABOUT AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Amnesty International is a global organization that fights for the equal worth of all people. We work to ensure that human rights apply to everyone, now and in the future. By having researchers on the ground worldwide, we can obtain testimonies from those who know what is happening, and we document the information we receive to expose when human rights violations occur. Our size is our strength - by gathering many people who highlight violations, we can create powerful public opinion and put pressure on decision-makers and governments. In this way, we can create long-term change and conditions for a world where human rights apply to everyone. We are very restrictive with contributions from companies and states. We do not allow ourselves to be influenced by political parties, religions, or economic interests. We are independent in our investigations and opinions. Together, we influence to create a world where human rights apply to everyone, now and in the future.
