The Social Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equal and effective welfare, enabling them to live safe and independent lives. The administration provides support to individuals and families according to the Social Services Act. We also offer activities and meeting places that can provide children and young people with a meaningful leisure time. Additionally, the administration actively works with crisis support, safety issues, community life, public health, and contacts with residents and civil society.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Unit for Collaboration and Early Interventions in the Social Administration Nordost is seeking a preventive parent supporter for a one-year temporary position during parental leave. There are possibilities for extension as the unit is likely to expand.
The unit consists of a unit manager and 13 employees who work in various ways with parent-supporting interventions within the framework of a family-centered approach.
You will work with both expectant parents and parents with children aged 0-6 years; the age range may also include parents with older children to some extent. You will primarily be linked to the Family Center in Bergsjön, but the work may also involve developing new methods to reach more parents in the area outside the walls of the family center.
The work involves having advisory and supportive conversations with parents, guiding families to other services, conducting parent courses (such as ABC and the Safety Circle), and working outreach in the area. In the unit, we work with interventions without needs assessment. To improve the living conditions for children, you will contribute to strengthening the relationships between children and parents.
The working hours are mainly during the day, but some afternoon and evening work will also be relevant.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another higher education degree that the employer deems relevant. We prefer that you have experience and knowledge of the social services' work with children and families. You should have a systemic perspective on children, families, and the networks surrounding the child. It is advantageous if you have further training in systemic family work or other education in the field of children and families.
It is a plus if you are a trained course leader in ABC parent meetings and/or the Safety Circle, as these are methods we already work with. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of the Nordost urban area. You should also have experience and competence in working with both expectant parents and parents with children aged 0-6 years; the age range may also include parents with older children to some extent.
Many actors can be involved in the work with parents and families, and we place great importance on your ability to collaborate both internally and externally. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work environment. You listen to others and are open to changing your approach, and you try to see solutions instead of obstacles. You put the user's perspective at the center and have an open and positive attitude.
