Welcome to us at the Eye Clinic at Östersund Hospital! Here we take care of the entire spectrum of eye care in the Jämtland Härjedalen Region. The Eye Outpatient Clinic is one of the largest clinics in the hospital with over 30,000 visits per year.

We are now looking for a nurse with an interest in eye care. If you have previous experience and/or are a trained ophthalmic nurse, we consider this an asset. We are a well-equipped clinic with OCT, Humphrey, IOL Master, Pentacam, etc. We perform cataract surgery with efficient workflows and good logistics. We also carry out intravitreal injections, plastic and glaucoma surgery.

We work closely together and have a well-functioning collaboration between different professional categories. The clinic serves the entire region with 130,000 inhabitants. With us, both specialist doctors and ST doctors, ophthalmic and general nurses, orthoptists, optometrists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work. In total, we are over 50 employees.

We have continuous improvement work and strive to work at the top of our competence. At the eye outpatient clinic, you have great personal responsibility and are part of the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse at the eye outpatient clinic, you will have a varied job with preparations for doctor consultations, emergency consultations, visual field examinations, OCT, etc. As an ophthalmic nurse, you will also have your own consultations with assessment responsibility, telephone advice, and assistance in surgery. The clinic has two dedicated operating rooms. The tasks will vary depending on the competencies of the applicant.

We work from 7:15 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday to Friday. No weekend or evening shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are an ophthalmic nurse or a registered nurse. Experience in eye care and further education in eye care is an asset.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability and good collaboration skills. You can organize your work effectively, have a positive attitude, are flexible, meticulous, responsible, and have the ability to see the whole picture.
