Description

The Adult Authority consists of a unit manager, senior social worker, housing coordinator, and social workers who handle financial assistance, reception of newcomers, housing issues, substance abuse, social psychiatry, and domestic violence.

The position we are currently seeking pertains to financial assistance.

We are looking for a person with an interest in financial assistance and social work. Previous experience in financial assistance or other governmental duties is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on your personal suitability for the role.

Responsibilities

Your task is to investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding financial assistance in our ongoing group. The unit has recently introduced a reception function for financial assistance, which means that the reception handles new visits and urgent applications. In the ongoing group, monthly applications are managed, and the focus is on working towards self-sufficiency.

The work involves qualified investigative work characterized by good interactions, well-founded decisions, and high legal security. The work includes close collaboration with internal and external partners. In Skara, we work with e-applications and currently have a high usage of our digital application.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work or equivalent qualifications for the position
• Good knowledge of legislation in the area
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
• Be flexible and stress-resistant
• Be collaborative but also have the ability to work independently
• Be able to see development opportunities
• Driver's license (B)
