High School Coordinator for Sundbyberg City

Responsibilities

Coordinate and administer the city's high school issues
Follow up on students' results and ensure high school placements for all city high school students
Collaborate with the city's study and career counselors, including leading the city's SYV network
Develop effective work processes within the area of responsibility, such as admissions work and monitoring the financial processes related to inter-municipal compensation
Participate in the work with the reception process for the adapted high school
Some case management for the committee

As part of your role, you will also function as the city's coordinator for workplace-based education (VFU).

Responsibilities

Coordinate VFU in the city's preschools, primary schools, and high school
Assess needs, place students, update the VFU portal
Collaborate with the sector director and operational manager on guidelines, action plans, and routines
Work with principals and be a link between the operations, educational institutions, and students

Your responsibilities require you to be well-informed about high school and the relevant legislation. You need to have a good ability to create your own systematics and structure in your work. An advanced ability to create good collaborations will be important for building close relationships with the city's primary schools to create a cohesive educational organization and attract more students to our municipal high school. It will also be important to maintain good collaboration with other internal and external parties, such as social services and the Greater Stockholm High School Federation.

We want you to have an academic degree, preferably in study and career guidance. You need to have deep knowledge and understanding of high school issues and the legislation in the area. It is an advantage if you have experience as a study and career counselor or other leading positions within high school. If you have good experience working with coordination, finance, and administration, it will be beneficial. You also need to have very good knowledge of Microsoft 365. It is advantageous if you also have good knowledge of a case management system such as Public 360, a journal system such as Prorenata, and the operational system Indra. Experience in coordinating VFU is also advantageous.
