Bromma Gymnasium has expanded in recent years and is now one of Stockholm City's largest high schools.
For a long time, Bromma Gymnasium has been an attractive school for both students and staff. Our students develop through challenging and varied working methods where entrepreneurship permeates their studies. Students leave school well prepared for their future academic and professional lives.
Bromma Gymnasium offers National Sports Education in football and basketball and has a close collaboration with IF Brommapojkarna and Alviks Basket. Bromma Gymnasium has five college preparatory programs: the Economic Program, the Natural Science Program, the Social Science Program, the Technology Program, and starting this fall, we will launch the Sales and Service Program, which replaces our previous language introduction.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled special teacher or special educator who wants to work with targeted support for students and assist teachers in meeting students in need of extra adjustments. You will have close collaboration with our current special educator and other professionals in the student health team.
An open and unpretentious approach, flexibility, good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude are important qualities in the person we are looking for. The role includes:
- identifying needs and areas for development at the operational, group, and individual levels
- being proactive and outreach-oriented, as well as actively collaborating with the school's staff, guardians, and external actors
- working closely with students and supporting those in need of adjustments and special support – individually, in groups, or in regular teaching situations
- supporting teachers in adapting the learning environment at both group and individual levels
- assisting teachers in designing and evaluating extra adjustments
- participating in the work of screening, mapping, and investigating students' needs for special support
- establishing action programs
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed high school teacher (preferably in mathematics), has further education as a special teacher or special educator, and is interested in working closely with students. You have extensive experience in teaching and working with youth.
As a person, you are committed, flexible, and responsible. You are clear and receptive in your pedagogical leadership and have the ability to motivate and, together with teachers, create learning environments focused on structure and variation. You are updated on compensatory aids and have good knowledge and competence in digital and formative learning processes. You have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships in your contacts with students, colleagues, and guardians. You work reflectively and systematically and have the ability to organize your work, both independently and together with colleagues. You are secure and stable in your professional role and have good communication skills in both speech and writing.
