The Cultural Administration has approximately 800 employees who primarily operate within libraries, cultural centers, museums, and other cultural activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a producer who wants to contribute to a creative and dynamic operation in one of the city's largest cultural centers where accessibility and the user are in focus. You will be responsible for our exhibitions and, together with your colleagues, produce and staff cultural events such as music, theater, dance, various forms of lectures, exhibitions, author visits, and open workshops.

In your role as exhibition manager, you will curate selections, plan, implement, and contribute to the development of the operation. As a producer, you will be part of a producer group that plans, implements, and evaluates programs and activities within art and culture. Your main responsibilities in this area will involve working with art education by organizing workshops in art and crafts.

Film will be another area of responsibility. You will work with both professional cultural and artistic practitioners as well as with volunteers and the association life. You actively promote participation and co-creation in the programs you are responsible for and have a pedagogical approach.

You will be part of the public service of the house, where you will have the opportunity to create more contact points. You will participate in networks, both internally within the administration and externally.

Additional tasks may be included as the operation is in a development phase.

The position is a permanent employment at 100%, and regular evening and weekend work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you have a post-secondary education in curating art and crafts, cultural production, art education, or another equivalent education that the employer deems relevant for the position.

Since you will be working with all types of programs, you need to have broad knowledge of different forms of artistic expression. You have pedagogical experience and have worked with change management. Furthermore, you have experience producing programs for a wide range of target groups and have led operations or projects based on co-creation and dialogue. Experience in composing and building exhibitions is also an asset.

As a person, you are attentive to the opinions and initiatives of visitors and other partners. You easily adapt your working methods to changed conditions and new information and see opportunities in changes.

You have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing, and adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate.
