Description

Together, we use our imagination and knowledge to shape a library that is accessible and relevant for everyone.

We have a close collaboration with the citizen office, switchboard, and general cultural activities. The work is engaging and varied, focusing on children's and young people's reading. A large part of the work involves serving at the information desk where all library staff work with all target groups of the library. We also staff all of the municipality's school libraries where we are responsible for different schools. The position is a one-year temporary contract with the possibility of extension, and you will be part of a team of seven people.

Responsibilities

You will perform all regular tasks that occur in a library.

The position is placed within the children's and youth activities, and tasks such as school librarian, project leader for various reading projects, participating in planning and meetings with the school's cultural representatives, etc., may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has a university degree in library/information science or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• has good collaboration skills with colleagues, teachers, and leisure staff
• has the ability to work independently
• has good computer skills
• has good knowledge of social media and various technical platforms.
• finds it easy to create contacts as you will lead and participate in book talks and book clubs
• has a driver's license and access to a car

Experience in library work is an advantage.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

Temporary position for 1 year full-time with the possibility of extension. Start date according to agreement. Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
