Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

About the School
Internationella Engelska Skolan Liljeholmen is a primary school with grades F-9 located in Midsommarkransen, close to both subway and bus. The school started in 2014 and currently has over 100 employees and about 1200 students. If you want to work in an international environment with a supportive culture, IES Liljeholmen is the place for you. We have a diverse student body speaking around 50 different native languages, as well as an internationally rich staff. We encourage and support internationally educated teachers who join us at IES Liljeholmen to learn Swedish and complete their teaching qualifications to achieve a Swedish teaching license in the long term.
About the Position
Internationella Engelska Skolan Liljeholmen is currently seeking a qualified teacher in Swedish as a second language for grades 4-9. The position includes shared mentorship for a class, as well as teaching Swedish as a second language for grades 4-6. The position is a parental leave substitute until August 2026.

- Teaching teacher in Swedish as a second language for classes in grades 4-6
- Mentor for a class in grades 4-6
Your Profile
You are a qualified SVA teacher for the mentioned age groups. We hope you recognize the importance of creating and maintaining good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You are motivated by having regular contact with guardians, leading mentor time activities in line with the mentoring program, and working and collaborating with colleagues in a supportive environment. There are no requirements for previous teaching experience, but we would like you to feel secure in your professional leadership, where you can create a safe and stable environment both in and outside the classroom. You value and deliver a personal, clear, and balanced leadership with both control and student engagement in focus. As a teacher, you are a clear and active norm setter.
