All students have the right to a school that allows them to develop according to their own conditions. SPSM runs schools on behalf of the state. We provide students with a learning environment that allows for participation, learning, and development. We offer meaningful, stimulating, and important pedagogical work in our schools.

Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen in Stockholm welcomes students with severe speech impairment from grade 2 to grade 10. Our teaching focuses on language and communication. The goal is for students to have the conditions to reach knowledge goals, be involved and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We offer accommodations for students who cannot commute to school every day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Hällsboskolan, we work together and in close collaboration in so-called grade teams led by team leaders. We have an interdisciplinary thematic approach that we believe will benefit our students in their knowledge development.

At Hällsboskolan, all teaching is based on the special school's regulations and the curriculum of primary or special schools. Teaching, environment, and communication are adapted to each student's needs.

As a teacher with us, you will work with pedagogical mapping, documentation, adaptation of the learning environment, follow-up, and evaluation.

The work with us requires close collaboration with students' guardians, colleagues, and other external actors who are important for students' health and development.

You will also have support from a special educator, IT educator, counselor, psychologist, school nurse, and speech therapist.

Our vision is: Equal teaching for all - together we make a difference. We want our students, when they leave Hällsboskolan, to have developed tools and strategies so that they are equipped to take on the challenge of the next step in life.

We are looking for a teacher to teach mathematics to grade 8, but other subjects may be added depending on your subject qualifications. The position includes mentorship.

We are now looking for someone who both wants and can contribute to this journey.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teaching degree with certification to teach mathematics in middle school and/or high school.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have qualifications to teach other subjects than mathematics
• Have at least two years of experience in the teaching profession
• Have expertise in NPF

We place great importance on qualities such as personal maturity, integrity, and the ability to contribute to developing an organization in change.

Your ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish is an important part of students' education.

OTHER

A probationary period of 6 months applies.

A criminal record extract must be presented before employment.

In the event of a societal crisis, you may be directed to work between the agency's operational areas based on your placement.
