Adult Educator at Huddinge Municipality

The Upper Secondary and Labor Market Administration is responsible for labor market initiatives, financial assistance, receiving newcomers and quota refugees, as well as upper secondary school, adult education, and summer internships.

About the Position

Adult education plays an increasingly crucial role in ensuring sustainable skills supply in line with the changing needs of the labor market. A prerequisite for matching the labor market's needs with the individual's capabilities and wishes is to offer high-quality study and career guidance.

The main tasks consist of:

• Individual study and career guidance
• Conducting study planning and providing guidance on educational choices
• Working with admissions in our student administrative system Alvis
• Keeping updated on educational and labor market initiatives
• Participating in fairs
• Contacting our externally contracted partners

You will be part of a competent team of five study and career counselors working on different aspects of the adult education mission.

The position is a 6-month temporary contract.

Who Are You?

To succeed in this position, we see that you have:

• Degree in study and career guidance
• Experience working as a study and career counselor
• A good ability to express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing
• Good digital competence
• Good knowledge of education within municipal adult education and the needs of the labor market.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work independently, in a structured manner, and with an analytical approach. The work places high demands on communicative competence, both in writing and speaking, as well as collaboration skills and the ability to adapt to different situations at work. You have an easy time establishing and developing relationships with colleagues and students, and you appreciate and see differences as an asset. Since the work involves collaboration with many different functions, both internally and externally, we place great importance on your personal qualities.
