ABOUT THE JOB

Stenvalls Trä has a long history and tradition in the sawmill industry but is also leading the way into an exciting future. To meet the demand for our products, we need to recruit new staff to our processing facility in Sikfors.

As a sawmill operator in the processing department at Stenvalls Trä, you will take on a variety of tasks. Your responsibilities may include operating and monitoring the planing line, splitting line, packaging machine, and wrapping. You will troubleshoot issues and ensure product quality visually and through measurements. As a sawmill operator in processing, you will perform machine settings, report errors and deviations, carry out preventive maintenance, and conduct simpler troubleshooting and corrective actions.

The job is demanding, fun, varied, and developmental.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

Completed high school education
Ability to work scheduled hours (currently 2 shifts)
Driver's license for passenger car

We are a genuine family business that started as a carpentry shop in Sikfors in Norrbotten in 1947. A village surrounded by forest, a forest that we have managed and refined since then. It is no exaggeration to say that we are at home in the forest and that we truly care about our hometown.

Perhaps that is why we have always worked since our inception to utilize the forest we draw from as responsibly as possible. Utilize all parts. Optimize the extraction. Therefore, we also refine low-quality timber where others make chips from those logs. We thought circularly and resource-efficiently long before we knew what sustainability was.
