Operational Purchaser

Your Role

We are looking for an operational purchaser who thrives in a business-oriented and dynamic environment. Our purchases are project-based, where we order everything from small standard items to advanced equipment, which means a wide range of tasks and projects you will be involved in. Among other things, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Placing orders
• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring we receive them on time
• Handling and evaluating offers
• Invoice management
• Measuring and following up on suppliers
• Handling returns and complaints.

In addition, an important part of the job is to nurture and build business relationships with suppliers. You will also handle inquiries and smaller procurements. Travel may occur in the position, both nationally and internationally.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with a flexible mindset and a willingness to solve challenges that arise. There is an opportunity to grow with the tasks, and therefore we see that you are also self-driven and take a lot of initiative in your work. You dare and see opportunities rather than obstacles. We place great importance on good collaboration skills and communication, as the work requires cooperation both within and between departments, as well as handling several internal and external contacts simultaneously. This also requires your ability to effectively structure and organize your work.

The purchasing team in Östersund consists of four people; it is a wonderful group where everyone helps each other, and team morale is high. Therefore, we are also looking for a person who puts the team before themselves and has a humble approach.

We also see that you have:

• Relevant education in purchasing/logistics or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of work experience in purchasing/logistics
• Good technical understanding
• Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office suite
• Fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English
• Experience in purchasing medical technology or industrial products is a plus

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
