JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a Power Analyst, or Analytical Production Planner, you will effectively plan and optimize Växjö Energi's production of electricity, heat, and cooling, and develop and execute forecasts and analyses related to the power market. You will be part of the Strategic and Operational Planning group consisting of analysts and specialists in production planning, financial electricity trading, and fuel management within the Power and Heat business area, where you will work together for good collaboration, and support and assistance to each other is central. As a power analyst, your main tasks will include:

  • Planning and optimizing production for electricity, heat, and cooling, which means you will be involved in business decisions on a short and long-term basis with a focus on the entire value chain from both a production and customer perspective.
  • Development and follow-up of analysis and forecasting models.
  • Continuously working on development and improvement within the Power and Heat business area as well as in the group, both independently and in teams.

The role also includes monitoring the developments in the power market and the energy industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you have relevant academic education, such as a Master of Science in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent practical work experience. You have experience in a position with clear analytical components.

We are looking for a colleague who has good analytical skills and enjoys working with numbers. As a person, you have an interest in the financial market, possess good business acumen, and preferably have a solid technical understanding. Furthermore, you are structured and meticulous, cooperative with good social skills, and have a high work ethic.

You handle Excel at an advanced level and find it easy to work in systems. You speak and write fluent Swedish and English and can easily communicate and collaborate with both colleagues in production and at the office.

Experience in electricity trading, production planning, business/organizational development, leadership, data-driven analysis, and work around AI/ML is an advantage.
