Recycling Workers Wanted at SSAM in Häringetorp
We are now seeking dedicated recycling workers for their facility in Häringetorp, Växjö for the summer season of 2025! Are you service-oriented, passionate about sustainability, and want to contribute to a greener Småland? Then this job is for you!
In preparation for spring and during the summer, we are looking for individuals who want to work as recycling workers. There is a great opportunity for you to start working as a temporary employee already this spring and then take on a summer position for 4-5 weeks.
Södra Smålands Avfall och Miljö (SSAM) offers resource-efficient and circular solutions for individuals and businesses. With core values such as joy, respect, forward-thinking, sustainability, and togetherness, we focus on the customer and work towards a sustainable society.
As a recycling worker at SSAM, you play an important role in promoting sustainable solutions and contributing to a circular economy. Here are some of the responsibilities included in the position:
- Customer Service: Guide and assist customers at the recycling center in sorting their waste correctly and meet them with a professional and service-oriented approach.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the facility in good condition by maintaining order and tidiness as well as managing orders for the collection of various materials. Outdoor work is a natural part of the job.
- Improvement Work: Contribute ideas and engagement to develop routines and methods that increase reuse and recycling.
- Workplace: You will be stationed at our facility in Häringetorp.
The work is mainly performed during daytime, but evening work may also occur in the scheduling. Additionally, you are expected to be able to work every other weekend.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for engaged employees who are passionate about service and sustainability. To thrive in the role, we believe you meet the following criteria:
- Education: High school education and a genuine interest in environmental issues and sustainable development.
- Driver's License: A valid B driver's license and access to a car are required.
- Meritorious: Wheel loader license and ADR training (at least 1.3) are a plus.
- Computer Skills: Comfortable using computers and digital tools.
- Communication: Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
- Personality: Responsible, proactive, flexible, and attentive with good collaboration skills.
