Today's Electricity Prices in Sweden

Today, on August 12, 2024, we have seen a significant variation in electricity prices during different hours of the day. The cheapest hour was between 02:00 and 02:59, with the price of electricity being only 0.41 öre per kWh. However, the price of electricity reached its peak between 20:00 and 20:59, with a price of 80.77 öre per kWh.

During the early morning hours, specifically between 00:00 and 02:59, electricity prices were so low that it was practically free to use electricity. During these hours, one could take a shower, bathe, charge the car, or play games without any cost.

From 05:00 onwards, electricity prices started to rise significantly, reaching over 3 öre per kWh. Prices continued to increase during the morning and reached 30.75 öre per kWh at 09:00. Showering and Bathing

For those who want to take a shower or a bath, it is most cost-effective to do so during the early morning hours. A shower consuming 4 kWh of energy costs -215 öre during the cheapest hour today, while the same shower costs 484 öre during the most expensive hour.

Dishwasher

Running the dishwasher during the cheapest hour costs -80 öre, compared to 121 öre during the most expensive hour. It may be worth waiting until nighttime to run the dishwasher.

Charging the Electric Car

For electric car owners, it is most economical to charge the car during the cheapest hours. Charging an electric car requiring 60 kWh of energy costs -3225 öre during the cheapest hour, while it costs 4846 öre during the most expensive hour.

Playing Games

For those who enjoy playing games on the computer, consuming 0.5 kWh of energy, it costs -26 öre during the cheapest hour, but 40 öre during the most expensive hour.

Interesting Facts About Electricity Prices
