About the position

At Olivia Personal Assistance, we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant as a temporary substitute for our female client in Vittskövle, south of Kristianstad.

The client requests only female assistants.

The working hours vary but can be scheduled as follows, both on weekdays and weekends:

• 06:30–16:00
• 16:00–20:00
• 10:00–20:00

About the client

The client is a woman with a muscle disease and an intellectual disability. She uses a manual wheelchair and an electric wheelchair and needs support with all aspects of daily life.

She is an active and cheerful young woman who loves animals and has her own dog, which she takes for walks. She also enjoys reading, crafting, dancing, swimming, and being outdoors when the weather permits.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Support with daily routines and household chores
• Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals
• Participation in everyday activities
• Handling assistive devices

Are you the one we are looking for?

You are calm and confident in your demeanor and clear in your communication. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Since our client has a dog, it is important that you feel comfortable and safe around dogs. It is an advantage if you live in the local area, considering the early morning shifts.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and access to a personal car to easily commute to the client
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
• Swimming skills, confidence in water, and tolerance for chlorine
• Not allergic to fur animals (a dog lives in the home)
• Comfortable around dogs

Employment level: Temporary substitute

Number of positions: 2

Start date: By agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits are in accordance with the collective agreement.

Things to consider before applying:

To begin employment at Olivia, you must be able to present a valid ID, submit a tax certificate (personbevis), and provide any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the tax certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.

To work as a personal assistant with us, you must be at least 18 years old. This age requirement follows the regulations regarding personal assistance, escort, and relief in the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the Social Insurance Code.

For work with children and young people under 18, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) is required. From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning the background check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. These can be ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so order well in advance.
