What does the job as a nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?
A nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together in the team with nursing staff, rehab specialists, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.
The specific competence of a registered nurse is nursing care. This covers both the scientific knowledge area and the patient-oriented work based on a humanistic view of humanity. You are responsible for ensuring that the health and medical needs of our residents are met.
As a nurse, you are responsible for and lead the nursing work. This means independently, in team collaboration, and in partnership with the resident and their next of kin, being responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. An important task is also to mentor, support, and educate other nursing staff and to be a good role model for your colleagues.
You work with care in everything you do, taking great personal responsibility, and have the ability to prioritize and lead others even in changing circumstances. Flexibility and collegial collaboration are of great importance in this role.
About Vedbo Elderly Care Home
Vedbo Elderly Care Home is located in the Erikslund area, close to green spaces and shops. Bus line 3 stops a short walk from the home. Vedbo has 98 apartments distributed across ten units. Three of the units are for people with dementia. Each unit has a kitchen with a dining area and a living room. Each unit also has an outdoor area or balcony.
You will work with three other nurses, and together you will share the patient responsibility for our residents. Your team also includes rehab colleagues and nursing staff.
The operations are led by the Operations Manager, Deputy Operations Manager, and Team Leader.

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse
Previous experience as a nurse in elderly care is an advantage
You must have good knowledge of healthcare regulations
You have good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
We would appreciate if you have knowledge of documentation based on ICF and KVÅ
We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations
A driver's license is required for some positions

Probation: We apply a 6-month probation period
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
In the event of employment, you must be able to produce a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (criminal record). You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
