"I am a positive and social woman in my 30s living in my own apartment in Svedala. After a car accident, I need 24/7 assistance. I use a wheelchair and speak slowly, but I am fully verbal.

I love music, humor, game nights, and staying active when I have the energy. I work out at the gym, enjoy long walks, and dream of riding horses again and maybe getting a cat. Sometimes I play music at high volume and dance around when I'm full of energy!

Job Responsibilities

• Support with daily tasks at home
• Mobility assistance and personal care
• Exercise, walks, and leisure activities
• Support with communication and structure
• Occasional household service tasks

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a woman
• thrives in a calm and secure supporting role
• is flexible and enjoys varied tasks
• has a sense of humor and patience
• can work days, evenings, weekends, and awake nights
• wants a long-term assignment with good personal chemistry

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Non-smoker
• Comfortable with dogs and cats in the home
• Available for irregular working hours

Scope of Position

• We are looking for hourly substitutes who can step in during sickness
• There is also a position of approx. 65% that may convert to a fixed-term employment (FVT)

Working Hours

• Weekdays: 07–15, 15–23, and awake night 23–07
• Weekend shifts: 08–20 or 20–08 (12-hour shifts)

About SMIL

SMIL is a user-led association providing personal assistance for people living in Malmö and the surrounding area. We are a cooperative without economic profit motives.

SMIL has a collective agreement, which among other things means that our personal assistants have access to occupational pension. We also offer fitness subsidies and regularly organize various training courses that are highly beneficial for you as a personal assistant.

We are an IfA-approved assistance provider with roots in the movement that once paved the way for personal assistance to become a possibility in Sweden. At SMIL, there are both members and employees who have been involved since the cooperative's early days. SMIL also has permission from IVO to provide personal assistance.
