Sveriges Ridgymnasium AB is a stable company that has been in operation for over 20 years. Today, our schools are located in Skåne and Halland. We work purposefully to stay at the forefront of developing our schools and our pedagogy, with collegial learning being a high priority.

SRG Svedala is a school where pedagogical development and collegial learning are high priorities. Our staff consists of approximately 35 employees, and approximately 160 students study across the school's three year groups within the Natural Resource Program - specialization in Horse Management - with profiles in Horse/Riding Sport. Here, we create tomorrow's riders and horse people, with a strong educational foundation for both further studies and professional life.

We would like you to meet the following requirements:

We assume and value that you have a degree in social work or equivalent education. If you have previous experience in the role of school counselor, this is highly meritorious.

You are attuned to the students' needs and have good ability to collaborate with students, guardians, educators, and colleagues.

We also see that you are driven to challenge yourself, your colleagues, and students - this to contribute to continuous development. You are independent and responsible in your assignment.

What you will work with here:

We are looking for you who want to be an active part of our student health team. You will work actively with the students' well-being, focusing on promoting and preventive efforts. In collaboration between the school's different professional groups, your salutogenic approach is important.

We want you, as a counselor, to value and contribute to a functioning school attendance for every student - as a success factor for the students' learning and development. With this view of your assignment, you follow the students' development and contribute to optimizing good conditions for the students' learning. In your role with us, you will contribute your competence at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

You will, for example, conduct investigations of students with problematic school absenteeism, investigate reports of bullying, and work with various measures to strengthen safety and study environment. You will have conversations with students about their well-being and life situation and guide both students and staff within your areas of responsibility. We see the promoting and preventive work at the organizational level as central to the assignment.

We have national intake, and the students come from different parts of the country, so many of our students live in student residences near the school. Therefore, there is an opportunity to work both during the day and in the evenings, as well as some weekends. Working hours will be an agreement between you and us and can therefore be adapted quite flexibly.

Start date and position grade

The position starts on August 3rd or by agreement. The position is full-time. We offer a probationary period of 6 months. The purpose is for the position to convert into a permanent employment after the probation period.
