Our Operations

The Emergency Department at Akademiska Sjukhuset receives approximately 60,000 visits annually. The department is open 24/7 and is tasked with providing specialized healthcare for acutely ill or injured patients. We work in teams and therefore value good collaboration and professional treatment of both patients and colleagues. Your Role

As a Nursing Assistant (Vårdbiträde), you will work together with the care teams to ensure that patients receive good care while at the emergency department. The focus of the role is to meet the patient's needs for basic nursing care and monitoring of vital parameters, NEWS. As a Nursing Assistant, you will encounter relatives and patients in crisis and be a present support. At the emergency department, we handle cases within several medical specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, and orthopedics.

Your Qualifications

For the summer of 2026, we are looking for you who are a nursing student or a medical student. As a nursing student, you must have completed term 1, and as a medical student, term 3. Previous experience in nursing within somatic care is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where traits such as being secure, empathetic, good at communicating, and having teamwork skills are highly valued. What We Offer

An hourly paid position as a Nursing Assistant with a minimum of 1 week of full-time work scheduled during the summer of 2026, until August 30th. The work is scheduled during days, evenings, and nights. Start date by agreement. Recruitment is ongoing. You will receive an introduction with education and supervision in patient-oriented work.
