The Swedish Armed Forces' Technical and Maintenance Office Logistics (TVK Log) is looking for a Security Clearance Officer for the Support Section. We are in the midst of an exciting journey where we are growing and expanding our team. Therefore, we are looking for reinforcements who can help us optimize and coordinate the Swedish Armed Forces' material supply. Do you want to be a key part of defense logistics where your work makes a difference – then this is a position for you!

What We Offer You

  • A meaningful assignment!
  • A wonderful workplace where community, high well-being, and a good work environment are in focus.
  • Good opportunities for competence development.
  • Exercise during working hours (3 hours/week); the Swedish Armed Forces place great emphasis on health-promoting measures.
  • Flexible working hours, which enable a good balance between work and leisure.

About the Unit

TVK Log is a central actor within the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics management. We are responsible for ensuring that supplies and materiel are available and meet the needs of combat units – in peace, crisis, and war. This also means that we create the prerequisites required for the Swedish Armed Forces' endurance, in areas such as fuel, food, and ammunition.

The unit consists of approximately 120 employees with broad competence in technology, logistics, and management. TVK Log consists mainly of civilian personnel with an even distribution between women and men. The management is located in Boden, but we are represented in several locations across the country. Our work is based on trust, collaboration, and a clear mission – to enable available combat units through the right materiel at the right time.

Main Responsibilities

As a Security Clearance Officer, you work within personnel security and security-controlled procurement, from conducting security checks on new employees to follow-up, re-evaluation, and conclusion. The role combines strategic development work with operational responsibility, meaning you develop processes, routines, documentation, and follow-up while simultaneously handling cases and preparing decision-making materials. You plan and conduct training within personnel security and adjacent security protection areas.

You support the Deputy Security Chief in ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with current security protection regulations and are the presenting officer in security clearance cases and special security protection assessments. The role also includes supporting the operation's management in security matters, coordinating security work within the unit, and contributing to the development and management of steering documents, policies, and security management systems. You conduct environmental scanning and collaborate with colleagues both within the unit and within the regiment.

Qualifications

  • A university or college degree relevant to the position (e.g., psychology, law, behavioral science, jurisprudence, or political science) or equivalent competence acquired in another way that the employer considers equal.
  • Documented experience and good knowledge of applying security protection legislation and associated regulations.
  • Category B driver's license.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you have very good collaboration skills while also being able to work independently. You are development-oriented, driving, and take initiative. The position requires good analytical skills and a well-developed ability to see connections. You are communicative and pedagogical and are skilled at expressing yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. You will have significant responsibility for solving assigned tasks, which requires that you can prioritize and work in a structured manner. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Merits

  • Experience in conducting security clearance interviews and good ability to handle sensitive information with high integrity.
  • Experience in developing and training in security clearance methodology.
