The Role of Physiotherapist

As a physiotherapist with us, you will primarily work with specialized rehabilitation within psychiatry. You are part of the resources at the Rehabilitation Centre and work with the psychiatric clinic, where you are part of a unit with occupational therapists and dietitians. Rehabilitation stands for early, coordinated, and comprehensive interventions from various competence areas and operations. The work involves assessment, treatment, planning, and rehabilitation of patients with mental illness, in both acute and planned outpatient care together with the patient and relatives. You also work on improving lifestyle habits for patients with severe mental illness. You can work both individually and in groups and collaborate on rehabilitation issues, in teams, and also with actors outside the region.

The Rehabilitation Centre is a county-wide operation where different competencies and experiences support the development of the patient, the profession, and rehabilitation from a holistic perspective. Regardless of where in the county one lives, the patient should have access to equal rehabilitation of good quality.

Within the Rehabilitation Centre, approximately 300 employees work within 11 areas with a cross-professional composition based on a person-centered approach.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and want to work in a hospital in close cooperation with other professions, both on the ward and at the outpatient clinic. Previous experience of rehabilitation within psychiatry is desirable. Regardless of previous experience, we want you to share our ambition to constantly develop to meet the needs of patients!
