The Role of the Nurse

As a nurse, you will meet patients with child and adolescent psychiatric conditions and disabilities. You contribute to the team's work with the target group based on your profession. The team consists of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. Together, you work with the child's needs as the starting point, seeing the child as part of their context.

Your duties include clinic visits and phone contacts for medication and well-being follow-ups, psychoeducational interventions, and basic treatment for eating disorders and anxiety.

The role also involves collaboration with other healthcare providers, organizations, and authorities that are part of the child's daily life and resources. As a nurse, you are also responsible for the clinic's telephone advice and acute line. Our clinic offers good opportunities for you to participate in the development of operations.

The position is permanent and full-time, with start date as agreed. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30.

Your Future Workplace

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a county clinic with a joint unit, "En väg in" (One Way In), for telephone advice and triage to child and adolescent health services as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. The clinic has three outpatient clinics: in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping. These provide specialized care for children and young people with mental health issues in 13 municipalities. The clinic also has a joint inpatient ward located in Jönköping providing 24-hour care, as well as an anorexia unit for outpatient and day care.

Today, we have approximately 140 employees in various professions who, in our work, meet children and adolescents aged 0-17 and their guardians. We work interdisciplinarily in multiprofessional teams.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a few years of experience in the profession. Further education as a specialist nurse in psychiatric care or within child and adolescent care is meritorious. We also appreciate that you have experience working with children and young people or within psychiatric care.

We believe you are a person who easily creates good relationships with patients and colleagues. We also believe it is important that you adapt easily to changing circumstances - as we are a clinic with both planned and acute work. We further believe that security, stability, and calm are good traits for meeting people in different life situations.
