The Role of the Nurse

At the clinic, you will work together with colleagues on telephone advice, assessment, and prioritization of emergency patients. The Psychiatric Care On-Call Service works with high accessibility in the patient's daily life, and current tasks consist of assessments via telephone or home visits. There is also an opportunity to join the ECT team, which provides electroconvulsive therapy to patients with, for example, depression in collaboration with anesthesiologists and anesthetist nurses.

All teams have a large network of contacts, both within the clinic and at the hospital, but also externally with, for example, the police, rescue services, and social services. An important part of the job is to maintain a good service level for patients and partners.

We offer you a permanent full-time position with shifts during the day, evening, and night according to schedule. Start date by agreement.

Your Future Workplace

The Psychiatric Clinic in Jönköping is one of the county's largest clinics with both outpatient and inpatient care within specialist psychiatry. The operations have seven outpatient clinics, five care wards, a care administrative unit, and a psychiatric emergency clinic offering emergency assessments around the clock. The clinic offers psychiatric specialist care for residents over 18 years old. Parts of the clinic also serve as a county resource responsible for psychiatric intensive care, addiction care, forensic psychiatry, and on-call operations where we handle emergency cases within both the adult psychiatric clinic and the child and adolescent psychiatric clinic.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you have experience in psychiatric care and/or specialist education in psychiatry, it is seen as positive but is not a requirement. If you are not a specialist nurse in psychiatry today, we would like you to be interested in pursuing further education.

Since travel occurs in the position, a B-driver's license is required.
