The Role of the Nurse

At Reception 2, the nurse has a coordinating and supportive role based on decided care interventions following the initial assessment.

The work also includes telephone advice to patients, relatives, and partners, as well as medication follow-up. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you provide individualized support and guidance to strengthen the patient's ability to handle daily life and stress, develop relational skills, and use or establish psychosocial support.

The position involves collaboration with the clinic's inpatient care, care on-call service, and other units, as well as some on-call duties. Adjacent to the on-call service are also the addiction clinic, lithium clinic, and sample collection unit.

Our interdisciplinary teams consist of social workers, psychologists, nurses, care assistants, psychotherapists, behavioral scientists, rehabilitation coordinators, psychiatrists, physicians, as well as occupational therapists and physiotherapists from the rehabilitation center. We also collaborate closely with the clinic's care administrators.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. Specialist education and/or experience within psychiatry is meritorious but not a requirement.

You have good knowledge within psychiatry or an interest in developing within the field. To thrive with us, you need to have a holistic perspective, be curious, receptive, and have an easy time collaborating. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and thrive in a flexible role where collaboration and coordination are central. Personal suitability is highly valued.

You also contribute to coordinated care planning prior to discharge and handover to, for example, the municipality and primary care.

You will receive a structured introduction adapted to your experience, good opportunities for supervision, and continuous competence development. You work in a multiprofessional team with high competence in psychiatric rehabilitation, where a holistic view of the patient is central.

If you are newly graduated, you can participate in Region Jönköping County's introduction and development program (RIU), which provides a secure start in the professional role through education, practical training, and reflection together with other newly graduated nurses.

We offer a permanent full-time position with daytime hours, Monday–Friday. Start date is by agreement.
