About the position

Miilux has signed a multi-year service agreement for truck beds with Boliden Aitik and is now building up a service organization on-site at the mine.

As a welder, you will become part of a permanent team working continuously on-site with the customer according to a 7/7 shift pattern. We provide accommodation in Gällivare. Together, you are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and renovation of mining equipment, where high quality, safety, and availability are crucial.

The work includes among other things:

• Repair, maintenance, and inspection of primarily truck beds, but also other mining equipment for mobile machinery.
• Welding using the methods MMA (111), MAG (135), and tubular wire (136).
• Work in wear-resistant steel, primarily Hardox.
• Collaboration with supervisors and the rest of the team to plan and execute tasks.
• Active participation in safety and improvement work.
• Documentation and reporting of completed work.

You will work in a modern mining environment where safety is always the highest priority, and where you have the opportunity to develop together with an experienced team.

We are looking for you who

• Have experience as a welder in industry, construction, or mining operations.
• Have good knowledge of MMA and MIG/MAG.
• Have experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Hold a valid driver's license (Category B).
• Fluently speak and write Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Welding licenses.
• Forklift or crane operator certificates.
• Driver's license (Category C).
• Experience working with Hardox or other high-strength steels.
• Experience from the mining industry.
• Experience with AR-drilling.
• Good knowledge of English and Finnish.
