Are you a licensed physiotherapist looking to work in a role where you have significant responsibility, close collaboration with colleagues, and the opportunity to influence the future of rehabilitation? Then the position at Älvkarleby Municipality might be for you.

Our rehabilitation unit is embarking on an exciting development journey. This autumn, we are implementing the MAR function and introducing a new way of working where physiotherapists and occupational therapists work together in pairs.

We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the operations, contribute new ideas, and create good conditions for high-quality, person-centered rehabilitation.

About the Position

As a physiotherapist, you will work together with an occupational therapist, where you jointly are responsible for daily rehabilitation work. This new way of working is part of a development project that offers the opportunity to influence how rehabilitation is organized and conducted in the future.

We are looking for someone who thrives working independently, takes initiative, and simultaneously values close collaboration with other professions.

About the Workplace

The rehabilitation unit is part of the Health and Medical Care Unit, along with the municipality's nurses. Here, three licensed occupational therapists, three physiotherapists, and a rehabilitation assistant work.

We are located in shared and well-adapted premises with spacious offices, medical supply storage, and reconditioning areas. The premises are located in the municipality's care and nursing home, which also features a café, a training kitchen, a gym, and a recently inaugurated sunroom.

Here, you have close contact with both operations and decision-makers. You collaborate with colleagues from your own unit as well as with nurses, care staff, managers, and planning coordinators to jointly create safe and individualized care.

The path from idea to decision is short, offering great opportunities to influence the development of the operations.

Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist, you play a central role in promoting health, activity, and independence among the municipality's residents.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Physiotherapeutic assessment, treatment, and follow-up
• Fitting and prescription of assistive devices
• Health-promoting and preventive measures
• Collaboration with other professional groups from a person-centered approach
• Education for patients, relatives, and staff

You will also be an important part of implementing and developing our new way of working.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• is a licensed physiotherapist
• holds a valid driver's license (Category B)

Previous experience from municipal rehabilitation is an advantage.
