As Principal at Hägneskolan, you lead a school operation comprising primary school grades F–6, adapted primary school grades 1–9, and after-school centers. Together with the Deputy Principal, you are responsible for an operation with approximately 250 students and 60 employees. Here, we work based on the guiding principles of joy, knowledge, and security to create an inclusive and developmental learning environment where every student is given the prerequisites to succeed. Through strong collegial learning and close collaboration between different professions, we develop the operation together. We have a culture where staff support, challenge, and inspire each other for the benefit of the children and students.

Responsibilities

As Principal, you organize and lead the staff so that students get the best possible conditions to learn and develop. With your pedagogical leadership and a focus on the students at the center, you drive quality and development within the operation. You work actively with the school's development work to increase well-being, joy, and knowledge results.

The assignment currently includes responsibility for both primary school and adapted primary school. We are in a positive phase of development and are reviewing how the school leadership can best be organized moving forward, which may involve a changed distribution of responsibilities among several principals.

You have overall responsibility for quality and school development, personnel, economy, and working environment, and are part of the Management Group of the Child and Education Administration, with close cooperation and collaboration with the Child and Education Director, Development Director, Coordinator for Student Health, Digitalization Developer, HR, and Finance.

In addition, there is ongoing joint work within the administration's management group with experienced and competent colleagues responsible for driving development work and the operation forward, where the students'/children's goal fulfillment and quality teaching are in focus.

As a new Principal, a colleague will also be appointed as your mentor during your first year in the role. We look forward to welcoming you to our team and supporting your success.

Qualifications

• Hold a university degree in pedagogy and/or higher education.
• Have experience in pedagogical work in schools.
• Are well acquainted with curricula and relevant legislation.
• Believe in inclusion and adaptation based on students' different prerequisites.
• Have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Merits: Experience as a school leader or other leadership experience, lead teacher, or development leader. If you have completed the state principal education, it is a plus.

Working Hours: Daytime. Meetings may occasionally take place in the evening.
