The Unit for Business Support and Development within the Care and Social Services Administration in Östersund Municipality is now seeking an Assistant Unit Manager who is driven by creating structure, quality, and development in a business that makes a difference for many.
The unit is a support unit responsible for the development and coordination of the administration's business systems, welfare technology, as well as safety and premises-related issues. The unit consists of approximately 30 employees and is organized into two parts: an operational part responsible, among other things, for programming and deprogramming of security alarms, digital locks, and other welfare technology, and a part that works with strategic assignments.
As Assistant Unit Manager, you are responsible for alarms and technology within the operational part. You will be part of a management group consisting of the Unit Manager and team leaders, where you will have good opportunities for collegial support. We are located in newly renovated premises at Sollidenvägen 64A, which contributes to a good working environment and promotes close collaboration. Working hours are office hours, Monday to Friday.
The position is 100% with a planned start in the autumn.
Your new role
You will be responsible for a business where your work makes a real difference for people who need support and care. You will lead a work group with care, engagement, and high ambitions.
As Assistant Unit Manager, you have formal personnel responsibility and partial responsibility for the business within Alarms and Technology. The assignment involves organizing, leading, and developing the operational work within welfare technology solutions and telephone issues. You will collaborate closely with the two team leaders for technicians/sector watchmen and system administrators, respectively. Examples of tasks may include developing working methods, prioritizing cases, and ensuring an efficient and smooth flow in the business. The position also includes, on behalf of the Administration Director, serving as the chief of staff for the Care and Social Services Administration's support organization in the event of crises and societal disruptions that threaten the protected aspects of the administration's operations.
You are organizationally placed under the Unit Manager for the Unit for Business Support and Development, which implies close collaboration in daily work.
Your qualifications
Requirements
- University degree relevant to the position
- Previous experience of leadership with personnel responsibility
- Very good computer skills
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Meritorious
- Previous work experience and knowledge of working with welfare technology solutions.
- Experience of administrative work within public administration
