Welcome to us!
We offer stimulating and responsible work with great opportunities to influence a developing operation. The benefit of working in a smaller municipality means there are significant opportunities to be involved in an organization that is moving forward.
The Individual and Family Care (IFO) within the Social Services Administration is organized into four units: the Child and Family Unit, the Adult Unit, the Outpatient Care Unit, and the Employment and Integration Unit.
The Employment and Integration Unit covers employment and integration issues and has a high project focus in the interventions we offer. Collaboration with external actors and support for individuals who are far from the labor market are part of our daily routine.
The Social Services Administration in Krokom consists of 600 employees, with a broad scope of assignments. The administration is divided into five business areas and is located throughout the municipality. Here, responsibility lies in providing care, support, service, health, and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.
A day as Unit Manager for Work and Integration
As Unit Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and following up on the operations within work and integration. You have responsibility for operations, personnel, working environment, and budget, and you work together with dedicated employees to offer high-quality interventions.
We are in a transition process where you play a key role in driving and developing the work together with your work group and IFO towards the new activity requirement reform and the intentions of the new Social Services Act.
As the manager for work and integration, you have personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees working with varying assignments. Within the unit, there are employment consultants, work supervisors, integration advisors, project managers, coordinators, and administrators. These are located on three different work arenas. Part of the work involves participating in project applications, staffing projects, leading steering groups, and participating in county-wide networks.
You work closely with other operations within IFO and collaborate with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the business community, and civil society. The assignment and operation are dynamic and offer opportunities for innovation.
You report directly to the Business Area Manager and are part of the management group along with other unit managers and the development secretary. You are expected to contribute actively to the strategic development of the entire business area.

To succeed in the role, we believe it is important that you are a confident and clear leader who creates engagement and trust. Krokom, the municipality in the middle of Jämtland
The boundaries of Krokom Municipality stretch from the shores of Lake Storsjön in the south, to the vast and wild mountains in the north, and in the east, the large forests of the northern inland begin. Here live approximately 15,700 inhabitants, in the middle of Jämtland County, with proximity to good communications to the rest of Sweden. Here there are fantastic opportunities for a rich cultural and outdoor life. People move here and want to stay, because here life itself takes place. The municipality is part of the Sami administrative area, which means we work to strengthen the Sami language, make the culture visible, and give the Sami people influence.
