At the Health and Care Administration, we are today approximately 1,400 employees who, with our combined knowledge and professional experience, provide care and healthcare to the residents of Alingsås in their homes or at our residential facilities. About Bjärkegården

Bjärkegården elderly care home is located in Sollebrunn and is a residence for both dementia patients and people with physical disabilities. The facility consists of seven wards with 66 residential places. Around Bjärkegården, there are several nice outdoor areas and green spaces. On one of the outdoor areas, we have free-roaming hens during the summer, which is a much-appreciated feature. One of our wards also has a house cat.

The Position

We are now looking for a nurse assistant (undersköterska) or care assistant (vårdbiträde) for a fixed-term position at 80%. The fixed-term period is 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

The work with us consists of supporting our care recipients in their daily lives by providing good and individualized care based on their needs. Our goal is to create a safe and meaningful daily life for everyone living with us. You will mainly work with nursing care, service, social interaction, as well as documentation and reporting according to current legislation and guidelines. For nurse assistants, this also includes delegated health and medical care tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff.

In this role, you are flexible and responsible, as workdays can include everything from personal care and practical support to social interaction and being there for those in need. As a nurse assistant, the assignment may also include delegated medication management, participation in welcome conversations, drawing up and following up on implementation plans, and contact with relatives.

You work scheduled shifts during the day, evening, and night, and have the opportunity to influence your scheduling. Joint planning between the wards at Bjärkegården is a natural part of the work in accordance with Alingsås Municipality's staffing strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• are educated as a nurse assistant (undersköterska) or care assistant (vårdbiträde)
• have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• live in the vicinity or have access to a car or similar, as public transport to Sollebrunn is limited

It is an advantage if you have experience working within elderly care.

When daily life changes, you adapt easily and see solutions based on the needs of the care recipients and the operations.
