At Piteå Health Centre, we work in a team-based approach where you, as a doctor, do not stand alone. Here, we share the responsibility for patients within the team, which creates better continuity, higher quality, and a more sustainable daily work life.
We are a well-functioning health centre in the heart of Piteå with approximately 10,000 registered citizens. Today, we have seven specialists in general practice and three trainee doctors (ST/BT). We actively work to create stable staffing conditions and a work environment where you want to stay.
We are looking for
We are looking for you who are a specialist in general practice with good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, at least level C1, and with a B driving license. Merits include education relevant to the position, experience working in Cosmic and VAS, as well as experience in Primary Care and other relevant experiences.
What you will work with
We work in three cross-professional teams where each team today consists of at least two specialists in general practice, nurses, physiotherapists, and other professional groups staffing the health centre. The team is jointly responsible for their patients – which means you do not carry the entire list alone.
A central part of the work is the team round, where the team meets regularly to plan, prioritize, and follow up on patient care. Here, structure, shared vision, and collegial support are created, making a difference in everyday life.
We actively work to create stable staffing conditions with a good work environment where we strive to follow the recommendation of approximately 1,100 registered patients per doctor. For us, this is a way to ensure both quality in care and a sustainable workload.
As a specialist in general practice with us, you work with the breadth within primary care in close collaboration with your team. The work includes: reception work with planned and acute patients, medical assessments in the team, participation in team rounds, and joint planning and supervision of trainee doctors.
You work in a structure where the team contributes to prioritization, follow-up, and a holistic view – which gives a more manageable and professionally stimulating daily life.
What we offer you
- A way of working where you do not stand alone in the assignment
- Clear structure with team rounds as support in clinical decisions
- Colleagues with high competence and good cohesion
- Opportunity to work part-time remotely after agreement
- Introduction adapted to your experience
- Development and career opportunities where you get to help create the health and care of the future
- Health-promoting workplaces with access to wellness activities and wellness allowance

We strive to have employees with knowledge of Sweden's national minority languages and therefore value your knowledge in Sami, Meänkieli, Finnish, Romani Chib, and Yiddish. We actively work for a balanced gender distribution and see diversity as a strength. We welcome employees with different backgrounds and work to ensure our workplace is accessible to everyone.
