About Us

The Counseling Clinics for Children and Young People in Sörmland are organized within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic and offer assessment and treatment at the primary care level. The clinic's mission is to provide assessment and psychological treatment for children and young people (6-18 years) with mild to moderate mental health issues. In Sörmland, there are 2 main clinics centrally located in Nyköping and Eskilstuna where we offer care Monday-Friday. In the other municipalities in Sörmland, we staff based on the size of the municipality. The team currently consists of approximately 20 positions, distributed among social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, and child psychiatrists.

Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for two licensed psychologists to join our wonderful team in Eskilstuna! You will have your main placement in Eskilstuna or Strängnäs, but work will also take place in both locations. We are looking for you who want to work with assessment and treatment aimed at children, young people, and their caregivers. We take a holistic perspective on the child's situation, where each employee works both independently and in teams with shorter treatment interventions and collaboration with other actors when necessary. Our goal is to offer a wide range of different treatment methods and let current research guide our work; care is provided physically, digitally, and/or in groups. We work extensively with group therapy, so we would like you to enjoy working with groups! You plan your work independently and are given the opportunity to work remotely 1 day/week.

We strive for a breadth of competence but would appreciate it if you have education in systemic theory or CBT. Our mission involves a high volume of visitors, which places high demands on organizational and collaborative skills both internally and externally. All employees have a base location, but work also takes place in other municipalities.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed psychologist and have previous work experience in treatment work with children and young people in primary care. The work requires that you can maintain your calm in stressful situations, work methodically, solution-focused, and are accustomed to taking personal responsibility. You have good communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working in a development-oriented manner. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
