The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping is a university clinic with many different operations. The clinic consists of outpatient and inpatient care, addiction treatment, and an emergency department, as well as our mobile units. Job Description
The tasks involve performing patient work for individuals with psychotic disorders, both independently and in collaboration with other therapists in the team.
As a nurse, you work with psychiatric nursing care, which includes supporting and motivating the patient, as well as assessing and identifying their needs. You have an important role in coordinating interventions for the patient. In this role, you will be the patient's primary contact person. You are responsible for following up on treatment measures and conducting supportive and psycho-pedagogical conversations. A large part of the work involves close collaboration with other professions, external actors, and the patient's relatives.
The position includes performing sample collection, both blood tests and drug testing, taking ECGs, and checking vital parameters. You will also staff our telephone advice line. The work is diverse, and new tasks may be added as needs arise. The introduction is tailored to your needs and previous experience.
Work Group
You will work in a multiprofessional team consisting of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and fellow nurses.
About You
We are looking for you who are trained as a nurse in psychiatry or have equivalent education.
Work experience in psychiatric nursing care, psychiatric outpatient care, and previous work with patients with psychotic disorders is meritorious. You should have experience with sample collection and health checks.
The work requires good computer skills as you will be working in various IT systems. Since you will communicate with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other actors, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
You can work independently and are confident in yourself; you should be able to plan and structure your own workday. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and are flexible. Being flexible means being able to switch between tasks. It is a given that you have good collaboration skills and contribute a positive and professional attitude to your work. You can distinguish between the personal and professional and can see opportunities in change. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
