Your responsibilities

Welcome to a workplace where we create a meaningful everyday life for our elderly residents every day!

In your role as assistant nurse/care assistant, you meet the individual's needs and create a pleasant existence. You perform medical and basic nursing tasks such as rehabilitation training, medication management, personal hygiene, and mobility assistance.

You also have the opportunity for development as you will be assigned a contact person role for a number of individuals, where you participate in welcome conversations and together with the individual plan support measures. You will also have close contact with relatives and other collaborating parties, as well as participate in our multidisciplinary teams. You are responsible for implementation plans and documentation in the Treserva system. You also get the opportunity to have an ombuds role, where you take special responsibility for an area that matches your knowledge and interests. This gives you the chance to drive development, meet future needs, and grow in your professional role.

In your work, you base yourself on IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center) and a salutogenic approach where you focus on health and strengthen the individual's own abilities. You also apply a low-affective approach to handle different situations in a calm and respectful manner.

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekends.

Your workplace

Valla Park is a care home located in a scenic area near Old Linköping. There are 50 places distributed across three somatic wards and three dementia wards. The work within somatic and dementia care at Valla Park is varied and meaningful. You become an important part of our engaged multidisciplinary team and contribute to creating a meaningful stay for our residents.

We work with ombuds roles where you, in your position, work to drive the development of the care home forward. We use well-developed welfare technology in our work and digital systems such as the alarm system BEATA and the planning system Welfare.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education and experience in care and support. We consider it meritorious if you are trained as an assistant nurse. Knowledge of or experience with the IBIC work method, low-affective approach, and a salutogenic approach are considered meritorious.

Since the work involves contact with residents and documentation, you must be able to communicate both orally and in writing in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have experience with documentation in journal systems. You are also expected to be able to use digital tools in your work.

We are looking for you who are independent, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward. You work well together with other people and listen and communicate clearly. You have an empathetic ability and can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations.

To ensure high quality in our operations, a language test is included in the recruitment process. Upon employment, you must also provide an extract from the criminal record register from the Police.
