What we offer
The Psychiatric Clinic Motala Mjölby consists of outpatient clinics within general psychiatry and addiction care in Motala and Mjölby. The operations also include an inpatient ward and a mobile nursing team, both located in Motala. The clinic works from a cohesive care chain with treatment responsibility in both outpatient and inpatient care. The clinic covers western Östergötland as its catchment area and has been part of Psychiatric Centre in Region Östergötland since 2020, together with all other psychiatric activities.

Job Description
- Your tasks as a nursing assistant:
- Plan, implement, and follow up on care and nursing interventions
- Accompany patients on outdoor excursions
- Social activation
- Support patients in daily activities
- Contribute to the ward's ongoing operations as part of a health-promoting context
- Cleaning, administrative tasks, meal preparation, and other practical duties performed together with colleagues
- Collaborate internally and externally together with the patient and their relatives

Work Group
On Ward 8, you work as a nursing assistant in a team together with knowledgeable and experienced nurses, doctors, and care administrators. We work in care teams and in close collaboration with our psychiatric outpatient clinics and mobile team.
About You
Your background – what you need to bring with you:
• Nursing education with a focus on psychiatry or equivalent education
• Previous experience within psychiatric care is meritorious
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
We are looking for someone who is secure, empathetic, and accustomed to building trust in difficult situations. You have a good approach to people and can handle changes with calm and clear communication. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important. For this position, we are looking for someone who is flexible. Being flexible with us means being able to adapt to the current situation and shift focus, which is crucial as unpredictable events occur daily. We work closely together and need good communication to successfully solve the tasks we face in everyday life. Therefore, this position suits you if you enjoy collaboration and are receptive and communicative towards both colleagues, patients, and relatives.
Application and Employment
On Ward 8, we work in two shifts, which means we only have day or evening shifts. The position involves rotational duty, and you will work every other weekend.
Before employment in a patient-oriented role within Region Östergötland, you will be required to fill out a health declaration.
