About the role As a Service Technician at MITAB, you are responsible for servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of cremation furnaces, flue gas cleaning systems, and associated equipment for our customers. The position is based in Forsbacka outside Gävle but involves significant travel to customer sites. This means you must be prepared for many nights in hotels, that your personal situation allows for this, and that you want to work largely independently and in the field. We compensate for time spent on business trips, and weekends are normally free at your home base. Your main responsibilities

• Scheduled and corrective maintenance on cremation furnaces and flue gas cleaning systems
• Troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics on electrical, control, and process systems
• Commissioning and functional testing of newly installed facilities
• Preventive maintenance and inspection of burners, control systems, and filter equipment
• Documentation of completed service interventions and deviations
• Close collaboration with the design and project departments for more complex cases
• Direct contact and technical advisory to customers
• Spare parts management and ordering in connection with service assignments
• Planning of service visits in consultation with customers and team colleagues

We are looking for you who have experience in service, maintenance, or troubleshooting of industrial facilities, process equipment, or machinery with electrical and control systems.

• Post-secondary education in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, or equivalent, or equivalent experience
• Practical experience in troubleshooting electrical, control, and automation systems
• Good understanding of control and regulation technology as well as process equipment
• Knowledge of machine safety and relevant safety regulations
• Good skills in Swedish and English
• Good computer skills for applications such as Word, Excel
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

• Previous work as a service technician or operations technician in process industry or power plants
• Experience with PLC systems, preferably Siemens
• Welding skills
• Experience with flue gas cleaning, filter technology, and combustion processes
• Experience working in crematoria or similar facilities
