We are now looking for a wellness instructor/bath and sports hall attendant for several temporary assignments of varying lengths up to approx. 1 year, with a chance of extension.

Job Responsibilities

A job at Sundstabadet is varied, and the tasks range between swimming lessons and lifeguarding. This is part of the role as a bath and sports hall attendant. If you also have experience leading group fitness classes, there is an opportunity to include this task, and you will then work as a wellness instructor with us.

We offer courses from baby swimming to adult swimming, and depending on your skills and interests, you can become an instructor in one of these. In our relaxation department, we offer 'augga' (aromatherapy sauna) sessions where we create relaxing experiences by performing fragrant sauna treatments for our guests.

For us, service and customer treatment are crucial. We are here for all residents of Karlstad, and therefore we ensure that our visitors are met with a safe, inclusive, and fresh environment. Cleaning in the pool areas is therefore an important and natural part of the work. Together with your colleagues, you deliver a holistic experience for our visitors that reflects the values of Sundstabadet.

The facility is open 360 days a year, from morning until evening, which means varying working hours.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you need:

• the ability to swim according to the requirements for the Gold Badge (Guldbojen)
• the ability to diving to a depth of 3.8 meters
• experience working in a service profession where you regularly met customers/visitors in an active and eventful environment
• confidence in dealing with many different people and being able to contribute to an equal and inclusive experience for all our guests
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing

For the role of wellness instructor, experience in leading group fitness classes is also required. This is assessed through a work trial during the interview.

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience from a swimming hall, for example, swimming school or lifeguarding
• training as a swimming teacher according to the Swedish Life Saving Society (Svenska Livräddningssällskapet)
• experience with group training
• knowledge of languages other than Swedish
• a driver's license, as work at other facilities within the operation may occur
