About the role

As a chef in Avesta Municipality, you work with planning, cooking, and serving meals with a focus on quality, nutrition, and good service. You contribute to creating a safe and pleasant meal environment where people feel welcome and seen. The role involves working with cooking, special diets, self-control, kitchen hygiene, and contributing to a sustainable and efficient operation.

You work together with colleagues to plan and develop daily work, contributing to good collaboration in the work group to create a positive work environment. You become part of an operation where joy of food, responsibility, and service are important.

We are looking for you who:

• Have education within the restaurant and food industry or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Have experience working in a kitchen.
• Have good knowledge of food hygiene/self-control.
• Have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Have basic digital competence.

Meritorious if you have experience working in large kitchens, special diets, or meal services within the public sector. We view experience in sustainability work, menu planning, and work to reduce food waste positively.

Position: Chef in preschool, school, and elderly care, where weekend work may occur.

Employment type: Permanent position.

Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10 according to agreement.
