About Us
Blekinge faces a unique opportunity. The region has strong strengths in digitalization, maritime industries, defense, innovation, and entrepreneurship. At the same time, the demands for collaboration, knowledge development, and implementation capacity are increasing to meet future needs.
Therefore, we are now building the next generation of science park in Blekinge. About the Role
As CEO, you will have the opportunity to lead the establishment of a new strategic innovation arena with national and international significance. You will report to the board and have overall responsibility for operations, economy, personnel, financing, partnerships, and the organization's long-term development.
Your mission involves:
• Establishing Blekinge Science Park as a nationally and internationally recognized innovation hub.
• Building an innovation system that brings together businesses, academia, the public sector, the Swedish Armed Forces, investors, and international partners.
• Developing research and innovation environments, testbeds, and strategic initiatives within Blekinge's areas of strength.
• Attracting national and international programs, projects, and investments.
• Building an organization with high competence, strong culture, and clear implementation capacity.
You will operate in the borderland between business, research, the public sector, and defense, where collaboration and trust-building relationships are crucial for success.

About You
We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree. A doctoral education is meritorious.
You also have:
• Documented leadership experience from a complex knowledge organization.
• Experience from technology-intensive industry, research, innovation, or R&D activities.
• Good understanding of digitalization and advanced technology.
• Experience in building and developing strategic partnerships.
• Experience of collaboration with boards, public funders, and other strategic stakeholders.
• International experience and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience in:
• Business development and commercialization.
• Innovation support, incubation, or cluster development.
• Transformation leadership and horizon scanning.
• Defense, dual-use technology, or critical infrastructure.
• Digitalization, maritime technology, advanced production, or software development.
