About the Role
Do you want to work strategically with climate and ventilation systems in a socially vital operation? As a Maintenance Engineer within HVAC at Ringhals, you will play a central role in ensuring operational safety and long-term functionality in our facilities.
About Us
You will become part of the Mechanical Maintenance – Strategic group, consisting of approximately 20 maintenance engineers responsible for the mechanical maintenance at Ringhals. The group works within several technical areas, including diesel, HVAC, pumps, turbines, valves, pipes, tanks, and heat exchangers.
About the Job
As a Maintenance Engineer, you work long-term to develop and ensure effective maintenance strategies within your technical area – with a special focus on ventilation, cooling, and associated systems. You contribute to analyzing needs, prioritizing efforts, and translating technical knowledge into concrete improvements in operations.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you work together with an experienced and cohesive group where we help each other deliver the availability expected for the mechanical components the group is responsible for.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Develop and follow up on strategic maintenance plans.
- Analyze and develop maintenance efforts within your area.
- Monitor technical function and contribute with improvement proposals and modifications.
- Compile reports and develop and further develop technical documentation, instructions, and guidelines.
- Be responsible for, drive, or participate in change and maintenance projects.
- Follow technical development within the area and translate knowledge into operational benefits.
- Contribute to planning work, and monitor and report technical and economic deviations.
- Act as technical support and expert within ventilation and cooling.
Requirements
About You
We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in technology and thrive in a role where you can combine analysis, structure, and collaboration.
We would like you to have:
- A university degree in engineering in areas such as energy and HVAC, mechanical engineering, process technology, or equivalent competence from working life.
- Experience of operation and maintenance work in property or industry.
- Good understanding of HVAC systems, cooling processes, and heat pumps as well as control and regulation technology.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and create structure – even during periods with varying work pace.
- Very good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Merits:
- Certification in maintenance, for example European Expert in Maintenance Management.
- Certification in cooling technology, OVK (Ventilation System Inspection), or similar.
As a person, you are curious, structured, and analytical. You enjoy working strategically, handle complex information, and drive improvement work with perseverance and engagement. You collaborate naturally with others and express yourself clearly in both analyses, plans, and technical documentation.
