About the Role

Do you want to work strategically with critical infrastructure and contribute to a stable and fossil-free energy supply?

As a Strategic Maintenance Engineer at Ringhals, you will play a key role in ensuring high availability and long-term performance in our facilities – together with experienced colleagues in an operation where your expertise truly makes a difference.

About Us

You will become part of the Mechanical Maintenance – Strategic group, a knowledgeable and engaged team of approximately 20 maintenance engineers. Together, we are responsible for the mechanical maintenance at Ringhals and work closely together across several technical areas, such as diesel, HVAC, pumps, turbines, valves, piping, tanks, and heat exchangers.

About the Job

As a Maintenance Engineer, you work long-term to develop and ensure effective maintenance strategies within your technical area – with a special focus on pumps. You contribute to analyzing needs, prioritizing efforts, and translating technical knowledge into concrete improvements in operations.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and follow up on strategic maintenance plans.
  • Analyze and improve maintenance efforts within your area of responsibility.
  • Monitor technical function and contribute with improvement proposals and modifications.
  • Compile reports and further develop technical documentation, instructions, and guidelines.
  • Be responsible for, drive, or participate in change and maintenance projects.
  • Follow technical development within the field and translate knowledge into operational benefits.
  • Contribute to economic planning work and monitor and report both technical and economic deviations.
  • Act as a technical support and expert in pumps and rotating equipment.

Requirements

About You

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in technology and thrive in a role where you get to combine analysis, structure, and collaboration.

We would like you to have:

  • A university degree in engineering, for example in mechanical engineering, process technology, or as a marine engineer, or equivalent competence from working life.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably with pumps.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and create structure – even during periods with varying work pace.
  • Very good communication skills in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.

Merits:

  • Certification in maintenance. For example, European Expert in Maintenance Management.
  • Education or experience in pumps, sealing applications, bearings, vibration analysis, or surface treatment.

As a person, you are curious, structured, and analytical. You enjoy working strategically, handle complex information, and drive improvement work with persistence and engagement. You collaborate naturally with others and express yourself clearly in both analyses, plans, and technical documentation.
