We are a tight-knit group consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and vision and hearing advocates. In total, we are thirteen employees who share the joy of work in everyday life. With us, you work closely with your team colleague who is a physiotherapist – yes, you become a real power duo in rehabilitation work. The operations also include close collaboration with the municipality's sick and district nurses, vision and hearing advocates, dietitians, as well as assistance handlers and relatives' support.

We are all working towards the same goal: to create safe, independent, and meaningful lives for our residents.

Within assistance, health, and healthcare, we are approximately 50 employees who work together with joy and strong community. The work involves great freedom and personal responsibility, where you have the opportunity to influence and develop the operations. Our goal is to take steps every day to strengthen health, independence, and security for our citizens.

The Social Administration consists of 600 employees where the breadth of assignments is extensive. The administration is divided into five operational areas and is located throughout the municipality. Here, responsibility lies in providing care and support, assistance and service, as well as health and healthcare to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.

A day as an occupational therapist in health and care

As an occupational therapist, you are an expert in what really matters – the small and large activities of everyday life. Your mission with us is to promote each individual's ability to act to create conditions for increased participation, independence, and autonomy in everyday life.

The workplace is located in central Krokom, where you start your workday and plan the setup together with your nearest physiotherapist colleague. In our district areas, we have offices at each special housing facility, and you get there with one of the municipality's cars.

We make home visits to people in ordinary housing or in special housing/LSS, and you have great freedom to plan your workday together with colleagues.

Currently, we are working on implementing the new home care agreement, good and close care, as well as health-promoting and preventive measures.

In your role, you will:

• assess ability to act and need for interventions
• prescribe and test out assistive devices (yes, you are the problem solver!)
• support individuals to live an independent life
• guide and educate nursing staff in rehabilitative working methods
• be an important voice in the team's planning and development at team meetings

In short: you help people get their daily lives to work – and sometimes even to thrive.

Your competence

We are looking for you who:

• have Swedish licensure as an occupational therapist
• have a B driving license
• have good knowledge of Swedish and can express yourself well in speech and writing
• have good IT and computer experience as we work a lot in journal systems like Viva and Cosmic Link, and use digital signature as a tool.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience of municipal health care or home rehabilitation

The position is a temporary vacancy for 2 years, 100%.

Working hours: Monday–Friday with the possibility of individual scheduling
