About the Military Base

Military Base Arboga is a resource center for leading the mobilization and operations of wartime units. The Military Base supports the military region with terrestrial operations and total defense coordination within its own area of responsibility. This implies constant surveillance and, together with grouped units, defense of its own assembly area and operations. The Military Base supports mobilizing units and units assigned to the Military Base with equipment and supplies.

The Military Base is responsible for, among other things, supplementary training, training of personnel reserves/replacement units, war volunteers, etc.

Main Responsibilities

As a Weapons Mechanic at Military Base Arboga, you will largely work independently to ensure the safety and functionality of all weapon systems at the Military Base, primarily:

  • AK 4 and AK 5, with versions
  • Machine Gun 58
  • PSG 90, AG 90
  • Pistol 88
  • Grenade Launchers, with versions
  • Anti-tank Rocket M/86 including training weapons

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Documented experience as a weapons mechanic
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission)

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is structured, self-initiative, and flexible with a high level of safety awareness.

You are service-oriented, have an easy time building contacts, and have the ability to work independently to move the unit forward.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience repairing all models of AK 4
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' internal weapon systems
  • Relevant vocational training as a weapons mechanic
