Lärarförmedlarna is the largest provider of substitute teachers for schools in Sweden. We have agreements with many schools and preschools, offering a wide range of different and exciting assignments. We are now looking for you who want to work as a subject teacher in Wood and Metalwork (Trä/metallslöjd) for lower secondary school (grades 7-9) during the autumn term.

We are looking for someone who can transform raw materials into pride, courage, and self-confidence. You are a craftsmanship pro who teaches practical skills, patience, safety, and design in a way that makes students both proud and curious for more. You know how important it is to be able to work practically in a digital world. And you have enough knowledge and experience to understand what is important moving forward. Above all, you love teaching!

How Lärarförmedlarna works

With Lärarförmedlarna, work life becomes easier! You can work from preschool to adult education, with varying hours and frequency. Assignments last from a few weeks up to a full term. (Want to work on shorter assignments or single days? Then we recommend our sister company, Pamoja). You are always matched to the assignment that suits you best and never have to compete with colleagues for jobs. It is secure for both you and the school.

How the job works

The job as a substitute teacher involves planning and conducting teaching. It also includes contact with colleagues and parents.

You manage the job easily in our user-friendly app. You always have personal contact with our support team who backs you up when you need it – before, during, and after work. You work securely with a collective agreement. Naturally, you receive a thorough introduction to the job before you start.

What do you need to be able to do?

Our clients love our staff! Therefore, we are careful when we recruit.

• You need to be a qualified teacher or have other relevant education.
• You need to have experience in teaching, assessment, and evaluation.
• You are a skilled pedagogue who sees that the job is also about enthusiasm and inspiration.
• You need to speak and write Swedish (or in some cases English), and have a valid certificate of good conduct (belastningsregisterutdrag).
• You should want to be a role model for everyone you meet. Smart and kind, simply :)
• You need to be able to work part-time or full-time during the autumn term.

How to apply

The first step in our smart recruitment process is a job test. In the next step, we meet in a video meeting. If we agree, you will receive a thorough introduction before you start working.
